Charles Heidsieck has released an extensive range of prestigious vintage Champagnes from its cellars to be auctioned by Christie's in London on 7 December 2017 and in New York on the 8th & 9th December.
The largest ever selection of vintages from a single Champagne house sold at auction, a total of 544 rare bottles, covering 29 different vintages from the Reims house, some dating back more than 50 years, will go under the hammer, with numerous highlights including Cuvée Champagne Charlie 1982 in magnums. All five years of the Charles Heidsieck Cuvée Champagne Charlie (1979, ’81, ’82, ’83 and ’85) are included in the auction.
Brut Millésimé 1989 in jeroboams is another standout, as are a series of Rosé Millésimé from 1983, 1985 and 1996, with estimates from £600 to £1,800 per lot. The Blanc des Millénaires, will be available from the 1983, 1985 and 1990 vintages, while the historic Cuvée Royale will be available from the 1966, 1975 and 1981 vintages.
