1 ~ AFTER SEVEN
Only open in the Winter Season (December to April), the 2 Star Michelin restaurant at the ubercool Backstage Hotel Vernissage from baby-faced 40 year old Swiss TV chef Ivo Adam creates dishes that combine local products with modernity. You will see the famous chef behind the open kitchen alongside Head Chef Florian Neubauer, formerly of "Dinner by Heston Blumenthal" in London. The stunning Heinz Julen designed interior typifies Zermatt better than anywhere else in town and you can enjoy a dinner and movie package with the attached cinema. Open December 9th, 2016 to April 16th, 2017. Closed Sundays.

Open only in the Winter season, Salvatore Elefante brings the cuisine of his Ristorante Il Riccio, on the warm and sunny Mediterranean island of Capri, to the cold and snowy mountains of Zermatt at the Michelin Star award-winning restaurant on the 4th floor of the Le Petit Cervin Hotel. The understated Michelin Star restaurant inside the stunning Omnia Loft Hotel, perched high above the village (accessible by a lift) offers contemporary, unpretentious cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Klemens Schraml. Located inside the 5 Star Hotel Mont Cervin Palace, this homely restaurant offers meat, fish and local specialities from the charcoal grill, together with an impressive selection of wines. Open daily 17:30 - 22:00.

6 ~ Cervo Puro
Located at the bottom of the ski slope and just above the Sunnegga Express funicular station in the village (there's a lift inside the station), the modern fine dining restaurant of the 4 Star Cervo Hotel offers a huge sun terrace on which to enjoy the richly varied menu, with a native Alpine character and a hint of northern Italy. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

8 ~ Restaurant Zum See
Located in the wonderful hamlet of Zum See, a short hike above Zermatt or ski down from Furi, Max & Greti Mennig's restaurant and sun terrace is located inside a 350-year-old chalet and offers a homely atmosphere, magnificent views of the Matterhorn and an excellent gourmet cuisine with traditional Alpine and Mediterranean dishes. Open mid-December to mid-April and late June to early October from 12:00 - 17:00.

9 ~ Restaurant 1818 Eat & Drink
Hidden off the main street, opposite the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof and at the entrance to the elevator tunnel for The Omnia Hotel, this historic wooden chalet, one of the oldest in Zermatt, has remained in the hands of the family of owner Heinz Julen since it was built as a home in 1818. Under the management of André Seiler (owner of both the Mont Cervin Palace and Monte Rosa hotels), the varied menu is created with a Josper charcoal grill and the beautiful decor incorporates some of Julen's finest designs. Open from 17:00 daily.

10 ~ Chez VronY
Stunning views of the Matterhorn can be had at this mountain restaurant which has embodied a family tradition for over 100 years. Located in Findeln, at 2100 metres altitude, it's a beautiful hike through the forest above Zermatt or a quick ski down from Sunnegga. They use only organic products, with the meats from animals nourished solely on Alpine grass. Open late November – late April 09:15 - 16:00 and mid June – mid October 09:15 – 18:00.
