Iconic Torino sparkling wine and vermouth brand, Martini, have released a DOC Martini Collezione Speciale Vintage Prosecco 2016 that tastes less sweet than its famous Asti sparkling wine.
Made with Glera grapes grown in the region of Veneto, it is the first vintage Prosecco from Martini, with 50g/l dosage of sugar.
Delicate floral and green fruit aromas are apparent, but these lead to that of cedar, eucalyptus and freshly baked bread whilst the taste hints of apple, lime and elderflower, giving way to a biscuit, brioche flavour.
An embossed clear glass bottle with a gold foil makes it stand out from the standard green Martini Prosecco NV bottle.
A Collezione Speciale Asti is also set to launch soon, using different yeast to its predecessor.
